Our rapidly growing national business is looking for a full-time Events Assistant to join our successful team based from our Ipswich Head Office, with extensive travel around the UK. You must be happy to stay away up to four nights per week at hotels and venues nationwide.

Today they operate a multi-disciplinary practice that brings the skills of Solicitors, Accountants, Chartered Tax Advisors and Chartered Financial Planners together under one roof to provide a holistic range of traditional and specialist estate and tax planning solutions to clients nationwide.
Purpose of Role
The Events Assistant co-ordinates and manages the day to day activities related to delivering our successful ‘Keep it in the Family Seminars’ which are held throughout the country.
You will be responsible for:
Pre-event set up of seminar equipment, displays, catering and facilities. You will co-ordinate with venue management teams to ensure that appropriate standards are met for the delivery of the seminars.
Registration of seminar participants. You will provide a warm and welcoming reception to our clients.
Client customer service. You will look after our clients during the seminars answering their questions and taking care of their needs. You will handle post-seminar administration.
Trade Shows. You will set up and manage trade show stands.
Sales Leads. You will follow up leads by phoning clients, answering queries and booking appointments.
The Events team (2 X Events Assistant plus Seminar Presenter) travel together in a people carrier vehicle. All accommodation and food is provided.
Hours of Work
You will be flexible to work as required, this will involve some evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a genuine interest in Events Management.
Full UK Driving Licence essential. Confident to drive a people carrier vehicle.
Confident to work on your own and in a team.
Excellent communicator and passionate about delivering customer service excellence.
Previous experience working as part of an events team or conference team desired but not essential.
Confident and professional telephone manner and comfortable booking appointments for our clients on events and one to one consultations.
Flexible to work odd hours, evenings and weekends and to stay away for up to four nights per week.
